Homeschool Days are here again. I’m thankful for routine. I function better that way. I rose way before the sun to make sure everything was prepared. Hopefully I can be diligent and keep that up. 😉 I’ll tell you, this morning I’m pretty stinkin tired. haha
We are using Ambleside Online as a basis of our lesson plans this year. I’ve been tinkering with it for years now and finally jumped in both feet. I love the fact that Shakespeare, poetry, and art studies will be a part of our lessons. And hopefully.. if I can swing it, a little French and Latin. We may just have to save up for Rosetta Stone. 😉
I was wanting to make waffles for breakfast for everyone but the buttermilk was used up, so I opted for their favorite muffins. Pumpkin chocolate chip. They were very happy. Especially since this recipe makes enough for a snack later on in the day.
It was a long day. Learning a new routine, with new lesson plans and a new idea around school is tough. Leaving the ease of summer behind is hard, but I am thankful for the new year and the new opportunity.
Shannon blessed me with a little time to myself to unwind. I went to Walmart and bought a couple of things for school. haha… But it was a blessing.
Today we begin again.
May the Lord bless!
