The garden is a busy place right now. Some things are finishing up for the season. Making room for new plants to arrive for the fall garden that we ARE planting this year.
The sunflowers are tall, proud and gorgeous. I love that in this quick snapshot, we see a bee making it’s way from flower to flower.
Yesterday, this was our haul. So beautiful!
More green beans for our pantry shelf. Grape juice waiting to be canned as I type.
Pumpkins ready to puree. It’s a bountiful time on the homestead right now.
The swiss chard is still growing beautifully. I have just planted another couple of rows! Yay!
A very busy happy time.
Today we are canning more spaghetti sauce.
Have a wonderful day!

I love the sunflowers!
I want to plant a fall garden, but I'm a novice. What would you suggest planting? I live in the GA mtns.

Hi Dixie! I live in N. GA, so we are probably not too far from one another. I am planting kale, cabbage, carrots, lettuce, radishes… probably more, I just have to clear out a few things and see how much room I have. 🙂

Thanks for your reply! I would love to plant carrots and lettuce and maybe broccoli. I wasn't able to plant a summer garden due to illness. but know that I'm feeling better (thank you, Jesus) I want to plant a small fall garden.
