Creamy Cilantro Dressing

Chas · March 15, 2013 · Leave a Comment

Let me tell you… my kitchen has been a flurry of activity lately. I have been so busy creating and making, all kinds of culinary delights, that are GOOD for you! How bout that?
A few days back a friend of mine on facebook posted this dressing and I asked if I could share it with you guys.
Being the sweet lady she is, she said of course!
This little jewel is yummy and there are no hydrogenated oils or any weird ingredients.
So here we go!

Yogurt, mine is some I just made and you use 1/2 cup. It is plain full fat yogurt, you can find it at your grocer, but you will have to look a little bit because most all of them are lo-fat. You don’t want that.
Olive oil, coconut oil or grapeseed oil. I opted for olive oil because my coconut oil is still very firm because it is still chilly around here. 1/3 cup of any of these 3 oils
1 Tablespoon of ACV which is Apple Cider Vinegar
2 cloves of garlic
1 bunch of cilantro. You can start with a little and add if you like, it is zesty!
1 teaspoon of lime juice. I didn’t have a lime, so I went with lemon
1 teaspoon of salt

Take your ingredients and put it in a food processor or a blender and blend!
It will take on a lovely green color with darker green specks.

Beautiful!

It’s delicious and zippy! Perfect way for you convert from store bought dressings to making your own. I have plans to try and alter this recipe a bit to make a variety of other homemade dressings…
Avocado dressing? Mmmm,
Dill?
Sour Cream and Chives?
SOooooo many possibilities!
And best of all… YOU did this yourself!
Have fun and get ready for those salad days that are soon on their way!

This sounds so delightful thanks for sharing it. I love homemade dressings. Have you ever seen what's in those store bought stuff? Scary….
