Yesterday I shared with you a few pictures of the dress I made for Carlie Jean. I was so pleased with how it turned out, I was just aching to try my hand at making one for myself and Cameo. Being that Cameo wants to go and pick out some fabric she likes *wink* I decided I would try the hardest first… ME! Here is how it turned out… Pink is a favorite color of mine and I adore these pink roses… forgive me for not giving it a good pressing before I snapped the pictures… I have a friend who wanted to see, RightRobin Dear? Here is a close up of the two fabrics I used. The pink waistband is not a solid, it has variations of pink. I thought it went with it fabulously. Now to just be on the lookout for some pretty pink flip-flops and jewelry and I will be set.Donations anyone? haha Have a beautiful day friends… I am off to linger in a nice hot bath.
When I was at thefabric storelast, I found this remnant of fabric that just said… OH, Chas… YOU LOVE ME! And Idid, Ido! I LOVED IT… I loved its groovy colors… the almostMonetlook. It reminds me of it water lilies. I said… OH, I know exactly what I am going to do with this little smidge of fabric. I am going to make a dress for Carlie Jean. I used a pattern fromSamantha at The Handmade Dress,Miss Madeline. TOO CUTE! I wanted to make an apron for the front, like she gives an option, but I was really pleased with how it was looking without the apron, so this one is without…the next one will be with. Carlie Jean put it on and said, "Oh, Moma! I LOVE it!" And begged to not take it off. Here is a close up of the fabric and the polka dotted fabric that I used for the waist band. I am MORE than pleased with it. I can’t wait to try another, and if I can find anymore of this fabric, I am going to attempt to make the pattern in a size for Cameo and myself! Hey, I won’t know unless I try! xoxo
