Over the Memorial Day weekend, we were blessed to attend our second family campout with our Trail Life and AHG groups.
After a slightly rough start (a large branch falling down and ripping a hole in our tent and hurting my hand, and an encounter with a LARGE snake that I don’t want to talk about… hahah) we had a wonderful time with beautiful scenery, warm weather and a nice breeze, and great fellowship.
So many wonderful hands helping and teaching and preparing and encouraging. It was absolutely wonderful.
My boy and the biggest fish he’s ever caught! Regardless of the face he is making he was THRILLED. 😉
My eldest coming to spend some time after work. I am thankful for any amount of time I get with her lately. She is a busy young woman now.
Helpers all around. While adults were helping assist other campers, my youngest pushed this sweet little one around til he fell fast asleep. Be still my heart.
Sweet and sometimes silly girls on dish duty. Smiles all around.
The sky was amazing all weekend. I couldn’t quit taking pictures. And every time I took another one, I said, “The sky is so gorgeous!” Shannon misheard me one time and said, “What guy is so gorgeous???” Crazy man. haha
A little swimming fun!
Our campsite.
Camping is such a great way to get away from the hustle and bustle of things. There is a lot of work and prep that goes into camping, but time seems slow and sweet while you are there. You get to enjoy the wonders of nature and time with one another. That’s always a treasure.
Slow down and enjoy your time today too.
