Parts of my heart…

Chas · January 12, 2016 · Leave a Comment

For I will proclaim Yahweh’s name. Declare the greatness of our God!
Deuteronomy 32:3 HCSB

Those two pieces of my heart in the picture above are gearing up to do just what that verse says… “To proclaim the GREATNESS of our God!” How exciting.
Not just around our little piece of this mountain, but this summer they are going all the way to Nicaragua.

As the wife and mom, my heart aches to think of them being gone away that far for so many days. But, also as a Christian, I know that in His hands is the BEST place for them to be. And if the Lord has called them to go… then they need to GO!

My heart will be eager for their return, no doubt about that.

It blesses me to no end to have a husband that honors the Lord and is so eager to serve Him in whatever capacity that He calls. And now to see our eldest eager to go and serve where the Lord calls.
We have prayed and prayed and taught our children since they were babies to love the Lord and serve Him only. By no means have we done everything right… But, we trust in the fact that the Lord keeps His promises and we will “train up a child in the way they should go and when they are old they will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6

This trip is not something that we could afford on our own, nor do we believe it is something we should try to afford. When God calls for us to go, we as believers are to help.
And that is my purpose for todays blog post.

I ask you for your help in two matters.
First: I ask you for your prayers. I pray that God will protect my family. I pray God will use my husband and my precious daughter and He will strengthen them while they are away. I pray that they will be changed and blessed for their willingness. I pray for lives to be touched with their testimony and serving heart. I pray that many will come to know the Lord while they are there and that the Lord will ignite souls and they will be changed.
So, I ask you to pray with me. Even now… months before they leave.

Second: If you are able and are led… I ask that you help us get them there. The trip is not cheap, nor is the passports to get them to Nicaragua. I ask that you pray and if God leads you to give to help them, please do so. I find it SO exciting to know that when you give to support missions, you are there with them, maybe not physically… but spiritually, because YOUR gift helped them to go.

On the side bar of this blog there will be a widget. All you have to do is click on that and it will link you up with a site we are using for our fundraising. It is possible that we may have some t-shirts made to help fund the trip also… but we are not there yet. I will keep you posted.

Also, here is a link for GoFundMe

Thank you for your visit, thank you ahead of time for your prayers, for your giving, for your love. Thank you so much! From the bottom of our hearts!
