Sometimes life gets very busy, huh? I know it has for me. No matter how hard you try to simplify and slow… the busy-ness seems to take hold, even still.
Let me tell you though, even in our day-to-day busy-ness, I have not forgotten to keep my eyes open and the beauty around me. I am in such awe of the beautiful place in which we live.
The colors around us are exquisite!
All the reds, browns, oranges, yellows and green seemingly resting against that gorgeous blue sky and cottonesque clouds. It is nothing short of glorious.
The chickens and Wanda (the duck) are enjoying themselves immensely as I have let them out to free range during the day. They think they are all rebels now, as they seem to look at me with a questioning look…

Yeah, I’m that fruitcake lady who talks with her chickens, ask anyone who knows me in real life. Ha.
The children are enjoying the fall weather and the falling of leaves as well. Carlie Jean and Abram have been making leave piles on somewhat of a daily basis. Because, believe you me… we have PLENTY of leaves to go around! I’m glad I’m not one of those who rakes them up. I like them.
So, life has been moving along swiftly here, but it has been a very happy time. This is my most favorite time of the year. As we begin transitioning to ‘looking forward to Thanksgiving and Christmas’ mode.
So friends, don’t forget to look around. Even if you are busy, take in the beauty around you in your busy-ness! Have a beautiful day!
