In honor of the Baudelaire’s

Chas · March 8, 2011 ·

The title of today’s post may seem a bit unusual… But if you have read Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events, you will know exactly who I am talking about. ๐Ÿ™‚
We are winding up the series with 13 books in all, ‘unlucky’ number 13 of course for such a sad story of these little children. Surprisingly even though the books are a bit dark and somewhat depressing… the children, and I ๐Ÿ™‚ have enjoyed them.
For last nights supper we had Pasta Puttanesca. If you have read the books, you know that it is the dish they had to make for the treacherous Count Olaf.
Basically it was a version of my homemade spaghetti sauce with a few twists… mainly that being, we were making due or doing without, remember yesterday’s post? ๐Ÿ™‚

Here is a recipe that is somewhat similar to mine, just in case you were wondering… btw, I didn’t use capers. Never bought the things in my whole life. ๐Ÿ™‚

So there you have it, another one of the joys of homeschooling in our neck of the woods.
Have a great day!
