With a little planning and prep work, I get to be with the family on Christmas morning instead of being in the kitchen.
This casserole has all that you love in a big breakfast, without all the time spent to make a big breakfast. 🙂
Breakfast Casserole
1 lb. sausage cooked and drained (sometimes I have used deer sausage)
1c. sharp cheddar cheese grated
2c. milk
6 eggs lightly beaten
6 slices bread cubed no crust (Homemade bread works great) OR
shredded potatoes
1tsp. salt
Mix all ingredients together and pour into a greased 9X13 pan. Cover and Refrigerate overnight.
The next morning put the casserole in a cold oven and bake at 350* for 30-35 mins

I make something very similar. Instead of bread I use crescent rolls. Merry Christmas!
