December has come and almost gone...

I love December... such a special time.

Believe it or not, I still have things growing in the raised beds!
Broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, kale, leeks, Brussel sprouts, herbs, I am amazed at the stuff that is still thriving through this crazy month of highs and lows in weather!

The vegetation isn't the only thing growing! Conway and Loretta are growing as well! They are getting so big and they are friendly... but let me tell you, DO NOT go in their pen with flip flops on! They think toes are food... but honestly they think everything is food! Been there, done that. haha
My Abe got his first buck! He was so excited! He said we can make some deer jerky now, Mom!
He knows me well. I love making deer jerky for them! They love it so much!
I bought a new planner around my birthday, and I have been waiting to crack it open and give it a good look over to begin thinking and planning for the next year!

I love the look of our home at Christmas. It makes me so happy.

One of my Christmas gifts, it will be such a help in the garden this year!
And if I haven't told you already... the chickens have started laying. They started around Thanksgiving and they haven't stopped. I'm so glad! It's great to have fresh eggs again!

It's been a wonderful December. Here's looking towards the new year and my new grandson who will be here with us in just a few short weeks!
