2020 Garden!

This year as 2020 rolled around I knew I wanted to make some changes, I knew I wanted to pursue some ideas I had toyed with in the past much, MUCH more fervently. Then as things went a little berserk with our country, I knew exactly WHY those pursuits were so high on my radar!
Women's intuition... don't knock it. It's real.
One of those ideas was to expand the garden!
The boys ended up building me 4 more 3x8 foot beds and another smaller 2x8. I added an old duck pool that Muck (the dog) put holes in. I have nasturtiums planted in there. And then in the back part of the garden, we planted more rows of tomatoes, squash, cabbage, and flowers.

Something we have not done in a while, was plant potatoes. This year to the left side of the garden we planted two VERY long rows of potatoes and onions and then on the very far side of those a row of sunflowers. Just because!

The garden is definitely coming along, but there is still much to be done. I have to make a place for green beans, okra, pumpkins, sweet potatoes, and more! I hope you are enjoying this spring even if you are what so many say "stuck at home"... there is no where else I would rather be! I love my home.
If you have not had a chance to check out my youtube channel, please do so!
I plan to make several videos a week.  Sharing how I make this or that or how the garden is coming along, etc. I would love for you to join me! Here's a link below!

Guest Post!

I've had a secret for a little while now, I am excited to finally be able to share. I was asked to do a guest post for one of my favorite instagram friends! Tea with Tolkien! Kaitlyn and I are akin with a love of all things hobbity and homey. After watching me share with everyone on instagram how to make your own homemade bread she contacted me about contributing to her blog. I was completely thrilled and am so happy to see my post up on her blog today. Go have a look if you like,

Thanks again, Kaitlyn for the opportunity! I hope you all enjoy!
