Rafting the Hiwassee

Last week Shannon and I took a group of our youth and adults from our church on a little adventure rafting the Hiwassee river. We had so much fun. It's been a LONG time since I've been rafting and this was a first for our children. We had a great group of 28 people go with us!
We had 6 rafts and my cousin brought his own kayak.

We had a few good rapids, but several of us on the trip wished for more. ;)
*thrill seekers* haha

Towards the end of the trip we hopped out of the boat and floated down the river to where we were supposed to dock. The water was COLD, but it felt SO good!

At the end of our journey there was an old railroad bridge... it was a popular place to jump from. Many brave ones took the plunge. It was fun to watch!!
I'm thankful for such fun adventures with friends!
