A day at the Zoo

This past week has been a flurry of activity. First we canned salsa at Mom's on Monday. Tuesday we went to the zoo. Wednesday we went rafting! Yesterday was a dentist appt for all three of the youngers. And here we are at Friday already! Whew! What a week!

Tuesday we tagged along with the Children's dept at church and enjoyed a morning at the Chattanooga Zoo. The kids always enjoy going, but they love it more when they get to go with a group and be with their cousins and friends.

This baby peacock was adorable! I love how mom and baby are here keeping a low profile in the shade and then daddy peacock is over there in the background strutting away!
One thing I love about this little zoo is the extra details they showcase. Local artisans make things and it adds to the beauty of the zoo.  This mosaic parrot is just one example.
The petting zoo is always a big hit. The kids love to be able to interact with the animals.

I am always looking at the beautiful plants, shrubbery, leaves, etc... There are a lot of beautiful things to see, we just have to keep our eyes open!

Have a wonderful day!
