Mother's Day

Motherhood is a blessed calling. It is something that should never be taken lightly or for granted.

Motherhood doesn't always mean you have physically given birth...
Motherhood is far greater than that act.
Motherhood is being, giving, striving, sacrificing, loving, nurturing, caring, molding.
I've always known, my whole life that I can remember, that I wanted to be a mother. I believe it was due to the fact that my mother was such an example to me of what motherhood should be. She serves her family so much and truly loves being a mother. She has always been my greatest example of what devotion of a mother looks like.
My life has been surrounded by many who put family as a top priority and made it a beautiful thing to witness.
When God blessed me with a husband and children I knew that I wanted to do my very best to love, teach, encourage, and bless my children and any children that may come across my path.

My mother's influence was impactful in my life. It made me want to give my all to my greatest calling... this calling of motherhood. Just as she has given all.

Her children rise up and call her blessed;
her husband also, and he praises her:
Proverbs 31:28

Mother's far and wide, may you realize your calling. May you seek to bless the children you have been given, may you bless the ones who come across your way, just because they may not be YOUR children, it doesn't mean that you can't truly impact those young lives.
May we teach and train these young ones to grow up to be strong men and women. To love the Lord, to walk in His ways.

May they feel such love from us that they never doubt our admiration or appreciation of who they are as incredible young individuals.

May they grow up to stand on their own. May they grow up to be adults and not large children. Teach them responsibility. Teach them discipline. Teach them to work hard at everything they seek out to do, or have to do. Teach them courtesy and respect. Teach them that life is not merely for ones own entertainment. Teach them that life is not always easy... but that we must persevere.

Mother's you can help change the world. You can help make a difference. Take your calling with sobriety and seriousness and make a commitment to give it your all.
Hard days will come. Days when we feel that we are spinning our wheels and not getting anywhere, but we are... we are. Never give up. Never throw in the towel. Use that towel, wipe your brow, dry your tears and begin again.

Mother's you are special.
You are loved
You are appreciated and greatly admired by so many.
Never forget it and never quit.

Happy Mother's Day weekend to all the beautiful mothers that I know.
May you efforts be blessed.

  1. Happy Mother's Day Chas! You teach so many valuable lessons to so many of us. I enjoyed you teaching about rendering lard. We don't have any pigs so where does one find lard? I know that you may be laughing right now at my question, however, I don't have a clue!!!! Blessings, Carolyn in Fl.

    1. Hi Carolyn! No laughing here at ALL! I would seek out a farmer that you know and trust or a local butcher and ask them if they have any fat you could buy to render and if they didn't have any ask them if they know anyone who might. I hope that helps a little!
      Have a blessed day! :)

  2. Thank you so much! We do have lots of farms that we begin to visit this time of year and all summer. So I will do some asking. Also my husband, Don hunts on several farmer's land and has lots of good friends among them. I'm not above begging!!!! Blessings, Carolyn in Fl.
